Congrats to all who competed today at the Australian Open. Special Mentions go out to Evgeniya Podborodnikova who took Gold (Kumite Individual female Seniors -68) in a very tough fight. Also Sensei Taka's student Mao Munakata who took Silver (Kumite Individual female Seniors +68) also in a very hotly contested division. Sensei Ricky Rigor's students also performed exceptionally well and big congrats go out to Johanna, Jasmine, John Georgas, Michael!

Sensei Frank Nowak

Born on 6th October 1947 in Germany, Mr Nowak's first contact with Karate-Do was in early 1963. He practised five to six times per week and after four years, at the age of 20, he scored a double success by winning the German National Kata Championship a day after being graded for 1st Dan black belt.
